The Roaring 20’s were a time of economic prosperity, rapid technological advances, changing roles for women, and a new consumer mindset. After the end of the Great War, many Americans were looking for fun, lightness, and to explore all this new age had to offer. Couple this with “The Noble Experiment” of Prohibition that was taking place nationwide, and one can see how this era got its name. Come learn about the early days of Prohibition in Monroe County and see some great objects that will bring to life the Roaring 20’s!
