Where we get better with age
Volunteers deliver hot lunches and refrigerated dinners on your choice of days, Monday-Friday. To receive meals, you must be 60 years old or better and homebound, which means you are unable to leave your home under normal circumstances. If you or your loved one fits this description, you are encouraged to register for the program by calling MSHL at 734-508-6229. Full registration can be completed over the phone.
Receiving your first meal can happen as early as the Monday after you register. Please know that MSHL cannot leave meals at your home if you are not there, so if you are going to be out for a doctor’s appointment, call ahead to cancel or request to pick up your meal.
A requested donation of $3.00 per meal is encouraged and donation letters will be sent at the end of the month.
Meals on Wheels is funded through Washtenaw County’s Senior Nutrition Program. MSHL adopted the service from Aid in Milan in 2015 and has grown to three delivery routes in the Greater Milan Area.
If you are interested in volunteering in the kitchen or delivering the meals, please ask to speak with Beverly, the Senior Nutrition Program Coordinator.
