Jennifer-Michalak

Jennifer Michalak

Executive Director

Winning the Longevity Award is our Executive Director, Jennifer Michalak. Beginning with Milan’s Parks and Recreation Department serving lunch for the Senior Nutrition Program back in 2000, Jennifer wet her feet and fell in love with senior services. We have her tenacity, hard work, and leadership to thank for making what MSHL is today.

While working for MSHL consumes most of her time, she also loves to spend time outside gardening, exploring nature trails, and investing time with her kids and grandbabies. If you see her biking with her husband along our picturesque Milan country roads, be sure to wave.

Beverly Robinson

Program Coordinator

For the last six years, Beverly Robinson has held multiple jobs with MSHL as we utilize her many talents. Currently, she is our Administrative Director.  She handles the front office and can also be found teaching Exercise4U every Tuesday morning.  As a former dancer, she has recently completed extensive training in Dance for Parkinsons and hopes to bring a class here to MSHL.

If you have been enjoying the daily jokes that are in our Meals on Wheels deliveries and on the sign-in table, you have Beverly to thank.

Lisa Klinkman

Wellness Coach

Just as delighted as we are to have Cindy on our team, we also are thrilled to introduce you to Lisa Klinkman. Lisa will be joining us as a part time employee (one day a week) as a Wellness Coach.

Lisa brings a staggeringly impressive skill set with her in the realm of wellness/fitness certifications. She not only has taught many fitness/health management programs, she also has trained other instructors, administered the programs, and has experience in writing for funding them. In addition, Lisa is an RN with higher education in management.

Lisa will be supporting Beverly in bringing quality programs and services to our Senior Activity Center. I am fully confident that soon all of you will love her as much as I do.

Alan Lown

Transportation Services

Meet Alan Lown, our Director of Transportation. If you’ve seen our white transit van around town, it could be Alan behind the wheel transporting our clients with care, compassion, and punctuality as he delivers each rider to their destination. With over 30 years in printing and book manufacturing, Alan made the transition from book to bus in 2017. He drove the school bus for Ann Arbor Public Schools and then for Milan Public Schools before he landed here at Milan Seniors for Healthy Living. Aside from scheduling, transporting and vehicle maintenance, Alan is a positive, hard-working support to MSHL staff. A Milanite for 25 years, Alan remains in Milan with a loving wife and two adult sons.

Greg Bell is our newest staff, joining MSHL in 2019 as a substitute driver for our Transportation Service. He quickly wiggled his way into our hearts with his dry sense of humor and commitment to providing top-notch care for our riders. Here’s what he has to say about himself: “I am a lifelong resident of Milan. I retired from the UofM Construction Services. I enjoy classic car shows, motorcycles and vacationing up north.”
